Every year, the IBA coordinates the Santa Teresa Charity Golf Tournament, in which businesspeople, developers, public sector officials, and sponsors participate. The money raised at the tournament goes to the Santa Teresa Charitable Foundation, a 501 ( c)3 non-profit that funds the Honors Programs at three local elementary schools, college scholarships, and donations to disadvantaged children who don’t have sufficient resources to purchase school supplies and uniforms. A full 100% of the money raised goes to the Foundation.
This year, the charity golf tournament will take place on September 25, starting at 1:00 pm at Vista Hills Country Club (2210 Trawood Dr. El Paso, TX 79935). The generous participation over the years by players, sponsors and volunteers has allowed us to donate more than $180,000 to the various programs. This has done wonders with the youth of our community to convince them to have perfect attendance, good grades and become young community leaders.
