IBA Executive Director Jerry Pacheco, has been awarded the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) “Advancing International Trade Award for the State of New Mexico,” which is awarded for dedication and ability to advance international trade in New Mexico. The award recognizes the IBA’s “success in creating significant and strategic international business growth for the organization and New Mexico has significantly increased economic growth that is vital to our nation.” The organization is being honored for its “lasting contributions and positive impact on international trade.”
According to its website, NASBITE is a professional organization for the global business community. It coordinates and administers the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) credential; it promotes an exchange of information and resources among global business education and assistance professionals; it offers professional development for those engaged in global business education and assistance; and it provides advocacy and leadership for global business education and assistance professionals
The IBA will be recognized at a luncheon on Friday, March 122, at NASBITE’s annual conference, which will be held this year in Albuquerque.
